Her Connection to Montana
For six years, Dr. Twist led the OB/GYN department at St. James Healthcare in Butte, building relationships with Montana patients and seeing firsthand how far women will go for high-quality specialty care. Wild Women Medicine allows her to serve Montana women, this time through telehealth, so distance is no longer a barrier to expert hormone and menopause care.
In the Press
Dr. Twist was named a Montana Standard 20 Under 40 honoree, a recognition of her professional impact during her years leading OB/GYN care in the Butte community. You can read the Montana Standard feature (opens in a new tab) .
Why She Chose Menopause Care
Dr. Twist has been fascinated by science and physiology since she was young. In her own words: "At this point in my career, I see a real need for supporting women as they transition through later life. I have dedicated my career to understanding how our bodies work and change. What do we need to feel our best? What allows us to be most wild and free, without feeling out of control?" That question is the heart of this practice.
Her Approach to Care
Dr. Twist builds individualized care plans, prioritizes patient education, and makes decisions collaboratively. Conversations happen in a safe, judgment-free space where any question is welcome. Asked once to describe what she does in four words, she answered: "Take care of women." From the teen years through childbearing and into menopause and beyond, that is the work she loves, and she believes every woman deserves to understand her own body.

Beyond Medicine
Outside the clinic, Dr. Twist is rediscovering the things she does simply for the joy of them. She returned to horseback riding after a nearly 25-year hiatus, loves painting and drawing, and works crossword puzzles on weekends. She and her family spend as much time outdoors as they can, camping, hiking, and swimming, alongside the happy chaos of raising three kids. It is the same spirit she hopes to help her patients reclaim.
